Google Authenticator is a two-step verification software token for TOTP and HOTP, used for Google's authentication services. The algorithms used by this service are listed in RFC 6238 and RFC 4226. Google Authenticator provides users with a six to eight-digit one-time password for additional verification when logging into Google or other sites.
Google Authenticator adds a second verification step when you log in, providing an extra layer of security for your online accounts. This means that in addition to entering your password, you also need to enter a verification code generated by the "Google Authenticator" app on your phone.
Open the app store on your phone.
Tap the "Search" button and search for "Google Authenticator."
Find the "Google Authenticator" app in the search results, then tap the "Get" button.
Wait for the app to download and install.
Open the "Google Authenticator" app.
Read and agree to the terms of service and privacy policy.
Allow the app to access your camera to scan QR codes.
Scan the QR code from the application or website you need to verify.
The Google Authenticator app will generate a random verification code that changes over time.
Enter the 6-digit verification code to complete the binding.
